When copying the tracks why doesn’t some of the tracks don’t sound in tune or out of key when using intro1 or ending1 ?

Why don't you show us how to record song in sequencer...you can't because they didn't put feature in!!! Shame on Korg!!

Hi Qui. After some research and tests, I would like to add some information not mentioned. 1 - The newest styles from Tyros and Genos have some additional tracks in the midi file when you open it in Cubase. These tracks are between 1 and 8 and they are mostly the chord variation of intros and endings. From the styles that I converted, I removed them and the styles worked well, although it is not a bad idea to create these chord variations moving the content of each track to the channel that contains the same instrument, but by adding the new sections like i1cv2. I didn't try it myself since I actually didn't use the intros and endings very much, but I think it would work fine. 2 - I have found an software called CASMEDIT, that makes it possible to clearly see the information "FROM EACH MIDI TRACK - TO SPECIFIC MIDI CHANNEL" for all tracks so it is usefull for these extra tracks 1 to 9. It makes easier to understand each additional track and where to put it if you want to add the chord variations to the style. It also shows the chord that each track was recorded. For example one style was CMaj7 while other was recorded in Dm. I think it may help.

Also, if I follow your instructions and execute them in Logic Pro in MacOS things should work the same should they not? I know the importance of the Markers and MIDI Channels and can see no reason they will not work on a PA4x. Am I correct?

Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I can only assume for things like intro1 you are referring to "the markers" that Korg requires in a style file. My question is, as long as the markers are properly named and placed will they work on a PA4x? I have no plans of buying a 5x is the reason I ask because I have so many PA4x sytles I need the compatability. Thank you again for the work you put into this video.

I've owned the Pa5x for several months now (and love it). Until today, I never realized that keyboard sets contained within the factory styles are not necessary in the overall library of factory keyboard sets. I just assumed the keyboard sets were in the basic factory library and then brought into the different styles. After this realization, I re-watched this tutorial again (thank you Qui!) and it was very helpful as there are many keyboard sets within certain styles I want to add to the overall keyboard set library (using copy, etc). I love my Pa5x; however, there is so much more to learn about it yet.

Hello, I just bought pa5x, Do you know how can i create style from midi file like pa4x?

This is probably going to sound like a foolish question so I appreciate any patience - and not being judgmental.😂 I have difficulty picking the correct style for a song: for example: Let’s take the song stuck inside of mobile with the Memphis blues again. What style would you use? Some of the styles are 6/8, et ... would you choose a ballad, rock or pop? Let’s take another song the air that I breathe by Simply Red. Or something simpler like what goes on by The Velvet Underground. My thought was to create my own rhythm track to replicate what Maureen Tucker is doing. Might be a good starting point because it’s so simple. Do you have any tips or tricks for figuring out what category and which style based on the song. I know - I need to listen to it and listen to the drums, but I could use some help here. Thank you.

Is there a way to create a pad from a recorded MP3 or WAV file? Let’s say I have an intro to a song which has a specific keyboard lick or guitar lick - there a way to load that into a pad instead of having to play it myself As a bass player and guitar player, I could probably record the strum myself as a sample and load it in as a sample? Is that possible on the Pa5x?

Is there a way either in the PA5X or in software app online to take a song like an MP3 or wav song and generate the style - for at least the drums and percussion?
